My Vegetarian Asian Feast Collection is a celebration of tofu! As a bonus it is easily adapted to also cater for vegans. Dishes include Chinese steamed dumplings and cake, Japanese miso soup and teriyaki, Malaysian satay dipping sauce and crunchy Vietnamese summer rolls. It’ll even satisfy the meat eaters!

Vegetarian Asian Feast Recipes
I’ve split this menu collection into 3 courses plus nibbles. The dumpling course is much easier to serve at the table rather then as canapes.
Nibbles
Salt & Chilli Edamame Beans
Perfect for with drinks! I would also serve some prawn crackers for extra texture and crunch.
Alternatively a batch of my Satay Sprout Skewers would be rather fab served as nibbles.
Starters
Tofu Crystal Dumplings (Chinese Vegan Har Gow)
Tofu Siu Mai (Vegetarian Steamed Chinese Dumplings)
Dumpling Dipping Sauce
The dumplings can be served with any other dipping sauces that you wish as well as, or instead of, the classic. You could also nab some of the satay sauce from the next course!
To make the menu vegan, only serve the crystal dumplings. The siu mai wrappers contain egg.
Miso Soup with Ginger & Tofu
As this menu is very tofu heavy, it might be wise to omit the tofu from this recipe lest tofu overload be a thing!
Main Course
The main course is a mish-mash of dishes designed to be served family style at the table. Simply let everyone dig in to what they fancy.
Tofu Spring Rolls (Vietnamese Summer Rolls)
Satay Sauce (Vegan)
Crispy Tofu Teriyaki (Vegan)
How To Cook Sticky Rice
Sesame Tenderstem Broccoli
Dessert
Chinese Steamed Cake (Ma Lai Gao)
The cake can be served warm with some cream or ice cream. My mango coconut ice cream is an especially good option if you fancy making your own.
My mango ice cream is also a great alternative to the cake if you are looking to adapt the menu to be vegan.
Drinks for Asian Feasts
Check out my dedicated post all about Asian Inspired Drinks.
I’ve given you loads of ideas of hot, cold, soft and alcoholic drinks to serve with your Asian feast. And I’ve made some suggestions on how to serve them too.

Looking for Other Asian Feast Collections?
This collection is designed to be purposefully meat free. If you are looking for a more carnivorous menu, I have put together two other collections of recipes. They are both perfect to mostly prep in advance.

Everyday Asian Feasts
Whats more, I’ve put together a selection of Everyday Asian Feast menus which don’t require you to have any friends! They’re smaller menus perfect for 1 or 2 people. But they can also be easily scaled up to feed more people in a slightly simpler way.
