We’re still a week or two away from the extra bank holiday celebrating the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee but it is never too early to start planning food in my book.
So for this week’s CookBlogShare, I’ve put together a selection of recipes to help you do just that!
All the chat recently has been about the official Jubilee Pudding – A Lemon Swiss Roll and Amaretti Trifle. Perfect if you want to spend the entirety of next week making a dessert to feed 20!
I’m not so sure its for me in its current form and the reviews haven’t been great to be. I feel a little sorry for the lady that created it to be honest. But 20! I don’t even know that many people!
Update: I did a thing! I created the easy version – Cheat’s Platinum Jubilee Pudding – Lemon Swiss Roll & Amaretti Trifle. Lets hope google shows it to anyone in time! Update – Google went bonkers in the run up to the jubilee and this trifle recipe went viral!
WHAT IS #COOKBLOGSHARE?
CookBlogShare is a community for food bloggers to share recipes and foodie posts and generally support the food blogging community. The community is centred around the #CookBlogShare linky.
It is a wonderful way for a wide range of food writers, recipe creators and bloggers to come together and share each other’s recipes.
The linky is now hosted regularly by myself and Sisley from Sew White. New members are always welcome to join so make sure you invite your other food blogger friends!
The last linky was hosted by Helen at Family Friends Food who put together a collection of sweet treats and desserts.
Each week the host chooses a selection of recipes which have been submitted during the previous week to showcase. This week I’ve chosen to showcase some fun recipes which will be perfect for celebrations over the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Weekend!

Jubilee Bank Holiday Recipes
With an 4 day bank holiday being bestowed upon us, we only know one thing for sure – the weather will either be glorious or awful. Only time will tell! But I will hope for the latter and plan a BBQ anyway.
Worst comes to the worst, I will cook under an umbrella and eat in a rain lashed conservatory. I don’t know if there is actually a more British way to celebrate!
